Product Information
What It Is
Color Match Wrap is made-to-order automotive vinyl produced to the factory paint-code specification you provide. It is designed for OEM-color vinyl projects where a standard wrap-film color chart is not close enough.
Complex Colors And Metallics
Many customers come to Color Match Wrap after trying ordinary vinyl samples that miss the paint color, metallic character, pearl effect, or tri-coat tint. Color Match Wrap is made to factory spec for complex colors, including tri-coat pearls and tri-coat reds. For metallic colors, the production process tunes the metallic particle size and orientation to better match the OEM factory specification.
Common Projects
Use it for chrome delete, trim, mirror caps, bumpers, grille pieces, panel repairs, protective accents, larger refinishing projects, and full-vehicle wrap planning.
How To Choose A Size
For partial wraps, measure the part first and identify the longest continuous piece you want to cover without breaks, seams, or overlaps. That longest dimension determines the minimum roll length to order. Allow extra material for trimming, alignment, and practice. A chrome-delete strip, bumper section, grille piece, mirror cap, trim piece, or panel repair may need a longer roll than the square area alone suggests.
Whole Vehicles And Truck Bumpers
Whole vehicles can be wrapped by ordering multiples of the larger roll sizes. As planning examples, a sedan often uses four to five 4.5 ft x 12 ft rolls, and a large truck or SUV often uses five to six 4.5 ft x 12 ft rolls depending on vehicle size and installer allowance.
Front and rear truck bumpers can often be wrapped with one 4.5 ft x 9 ft roll, or one 4.5 ft x 9 ft roll plus one 4.5 ft x 12 ft roll when also wrapping the grille.
Paint Match Notes
This is vinyl, not sprayed paint. It is made to the original factory paint specification, not matched to the current aged paint on one specific vehicle. Age, sun exposure, previous repairs, production variation, and rare or complex colors can affect the visible match.
